- Assistance to Indonesian citizens abroad.
In case of lost or stolen passport abroad, Indonesian citizens must report it to the local police and bring police report about the loss/theft of their passport to the nearest Indonesian Embassy to apply for a new passport.
Tourist/social visa requirements:
- Passport valid at least six months after planned date of entry to Indonesia;
- Filled-out application form;
- One (1) recently taken photo;
- Copy of airline ticket or itinerary;
- Proof of paid visa fee (copy of receipt);
- Stamped and addressed return envelope - preferably as registered letter (rekommenderat), considering that you are sending a passport (unless you visit the Embassy in person).
The issued visa is valid for 60 days and has to be used within 90 days from issuance. If an applicant fails to enter Indonesia within the period of 90 days, the visa will be declared invalid.
Citizens from Sweden and Latvia can obtain Visa on Arrival for tourist visits that are not exceeding 30 days. Visa on Arrival can be obtained directly when you are landed at the airports or seaports in Indonesia. Visa on Arrival is given to a person who has come with holiday/leisure, business or social visit purposes in Indonesia. The maximum length of stay is 30 days and can be extended for another 30 days. This visa will be issued at the airport/sea port when you enter Indonesia. You need to bring the following:
- Passport - which has to be valid at least 6 months from planned entrance
- Return ticket is compulsory
- Visa fee (preferably in cash)
Please be informed that the Embassy cannot accept payments by cash. All payments have to be done through transfer to the Embassy's SEB bank account and all applicants are kindly requested to submit the copy of the bank transfer receipt, clearly stating the name of applicant, to the Embassy along with other documents required.
The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
