Visa information: Before taking the trip make sure with the Embassy on validity of current conditions airport visa.

All the fees must be paid in cash in EUR at the account No. 234307988/0300 at any branch of CSOB and the respective receipt must be consequently submitted. In case of a group applying for visa each individual has to settle his own fee separately. No other way of payment will be accepted.

Applying for a visa:

• The visa applicant must arrive for visa appointment in person. 
• The applicant must own a valid travel passport; the validity of which has to be at least 6 more months from the conclusion of the trip. The applicant also has to prove his residency in Czech Republic of at least 6 months. 
• Foreign countries' citizens, who wish to visit only the free-trade zones within the Islamic Republic of Iran (Kish, Gheshm, Chabahar, etc.), may apply and receive visa after their arrival at the airport - for the period of 14 days. Should they wish to travel to other parts of the country, they may apply for the appropriate visa at the local office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Since October 23., 2011, it is required to attach to the visa application an electronic or a written confirmation of health and accident insurance issued by an Iranian or other foreign insurance company. The period insured has to cover the whole time period of visit in Iran. The Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy in Prague, in accordance with the laws and rules of the Islamic Republic of Iran, is prepared to issue the visa to all foreign citizens, who plan to travel to Islamic Republic of Iran.

All persons applying for the tourist visa - persons who wish to visit tourist attractions and sightseeing, or persons who travel to visit the holy places in Islamic Republic of Iran - may apply for the visa in two ways:

• Through a licensed travel agent 
• By personally bringing or by mailing the application documents to the Islamic Republic of Iran Embassy - the Visa Department - in Prague.
