The Embassy of Ireland in Brazil works closely with the Enterprise Ireland Office in São Paulo and with the other Irish state agencies to promote trade, tourism and inward investment. The Ambassador chairs the local market team in Brazil. The Embassy and the Honorary Consul in São Paulo also help to provide consular assistance to Irish citizens who need it while travelling in Brazil.  

The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Visas;
• Passports;
• Citizenship;
• Authenticating documents;
• Marriage and civil partnership;
• Emergency assistance.

If Irish passport is lost or stolen, Irish citizen should firstly report the loss or theft to the nearest police station as soon as possible after the event. Then he/she should contact the Embassy or nearest Honorary Consulate to make arrangements for an alternative travel document.

Holders of Brazilian passport do not need an entry visa for Ireland.  

The Embassy cannot accept credit card payments. Payment can be made by cheque payable to the Embassy of Ireland or bank draft  

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
