Ireland already has strong links with Southeast Asia in trade, education, investment and tourism - the Embassy strives to deepen this relationship, reflecting the growing dynamic relationship between our countries.

The Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Passport services;
  • Visa services;
  • Authentication of documents;
  • Citizenship matters;
  • Marriage abroad;
  • Assistance to Irish nationals in case of emergencies.

 If an Irish passport is lost or stolen, the Embassy / Honorary Consulate must be contacted as soon as possible. Irish citizen must also go to the nearest Police Station and make a report. A copy of the statement to the police must be kept as the applicant will have to submit it with his/her application for a new passport. If a passport is stolen a police report is accepted by some airlines in lieu of a passport, but it should always be checked with the airline before going to the airport. If the airline will not accept the police statement, the Embassy can issue an Emergency Travel Certificate.

Visa applications should now be completed online and supporting documentation should then be submitted either to the Embassy in Singapore, the Honorary Consulate in Manila or the Honorary Consulate in Jakarta, as appropriate. Visa required nationals resident in Singapore, Brunei and Timor Leste should submit their visa applications directly to the Embassy. Visa applications must be submitted at least 6 weeks in advance of the intended date of travel.

Applications for a visa must be submitted online. A hard copy of the application and all supporting documents must be submitted to the Embassy for processing. Original documents must be submitted along with a photocopy.

The Embassy accepts cash or cheques/bank drafts in Singapore Dollars made payable to ‘Embassy of Ireland'.  For those applicants couriering their applications to the Embassy, the Embassy strongly advises against sending cash.
