The Embassy works to promote and protect Irish interests in Switzerland whether it is by promoting Irish economic and business interests, helping the Irish community in Switzerland or by supporting the excellent relations between the two Governments. The Embassy also provides a range of key consular services to visiting Irish citizens and residents in Switzerland.

The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Authenticating documents;
• Marriage and civil partnership;
• Emergency assistance.

If Irish passport is lost or stolen, Irish citizen should firstly report the loss or theft to the nearest police station as soon as possible after the event. 

Citizens of Switzerland do not need visas to travel to Ireland.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
