The Embassy works to promote Irish interests in Turkey and strengthens the political and cultural ties between the two countries. The Embassy also provides a wide range of consular services.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Visas for Ireland;
• Citizenship;
• Getting married abroad;
• Authentication of documents;
• Travel advice;
• Passports.

If Irish citizen's passport has been lost or stolen, it is mandatory to obtain a police report, as he/she will need this when applying for a new passport. Please also be informed that quick service is not available for lost/stolen passport.

Turkish passport holders require a visa to enter Ireland.

Tourist visa requirements:

• Two colour passport sized photographs not more than 6 months old
• Current passport and a full copy of any previous passports
• A signed letter of application including applicant's full contact details
• Accommodation and travel details
• Finances
• Evidence of applicant's obligations to return to his/her country of permanent residence
• Medical/Travel Insurance
• Previous Visa Refusals

Please note, appointments to attend the Embassy must be made by phone or email in advance. Photographic ID must be presented to building security on arrival to the Embassy building. All visitors must strictly comply with building security screening. Callers to the Embassy who have not made advance appointments will not be permitted entry. In the event of an Irish citizen requiring urgent consular assistance, the Embassy will of course assist as much as possible.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
