Due to regulation changes, the applicant needs to be present at the Consulate if he/she needs to do one of the following actions:

  • Application for first passport - if one never had an Israeli passport before.
  • Application for renewing/extending passport for a minor.
  • Application for a passport due to loss/theft/destruction of a passport.
  • Notification of the birth of an Israeli citizen abroad - the presence of one parent is needed the child does not need to come to the Consulate.
  • Notification of change in marital status.
  • Notification of change of name.
  • Application of waiver of Israeli citizenship.

Security Information for People Visiting the Embassy's Consular Department:
Upon arrival at 50 O'Connor, be sure to visit the lobby desk and ask the attendant to phone the Embassy of Israel. Please do not bring: bags (including handbags and suitcases), food, drinks or electronic equipment (such as laptops). Please make sure to bring Photo ID.

The consular fees can be paid only in Cash or Money Order (Made out to "Embassy of Israel) - No Credit or Debit.

Every document requiring a signature that is mailed to the Consulate must be signed in front of a notary public officer.

For any service involving notarized documents, the Embassy requires that the applicant brings a passport for identification.
