Due to labor sanctions at the Foreign Ministry, as of 4 March 2014 and until further notice, no services will be provided to the public and phone calls will not be answered.

The consular department of the Embassy of Israel provides different kinds of consular services for both Israeli and non-Israeli citizens. The services include, for example, issuing and renewing of travel documents, registering of births and deaths as well as notarization of official documents. Consular department also handles with matters related to the Israel Defence Forces.

In the event of the loss/theft/destruction of a travel document, one must visit the mission in order to obtain a replacement. Please be sure to bring the following:      

  • Two passport pictures    
  • A picture ID (identity card or Israeli driver's license)·     
  • A completed declaration form about the loss/theft/destruction of a passport or laissez passer. The form must be signed before the diplomatic/consular representative.
  • The Israeli passport is the property of the State. The loss/theft/destruction of the passport requires the payment of a higher fee.

Security instructions for people who wish to obtain consular services at the mission offices

  • Please bring a photo ID.
  • Every visitor and his belongings will be required to undergo a security check.
  • For security purposes, no personal objects will be allowed into the mission, including handbags, mobile phones and electronic devices.
  • Do not bring large handbags or suitcases to the mission.
  • Do not bring food and/or beverage bottles or containers.
  • The mission's security directives apply to people in the consular waiting room. The instructions of the security staff must be obeyed at all times.

Note that the Embassy and consulate are closed on Finnish as well as Israeli/Jewish holidays.
