Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Verification of public documents;
  • Issuance and extension of travel documents;
  • Registration of Israeli national abroad;
  • Notarization;
  • Registration of children who were born abroad to Israeli citizens;
  • Israel Defense Forces (IDF) related issues;
  • Israeli citizenship matters.

In the event of the loss / theft / destruction of a travel document, you must visit the mission in order to obtain a replacement. Please be sure to bring the following:

  • Two passport pictures.
  • A picture ID (identity card or Israeli driver's license).
  • A completed declaration form about the loss / theft / destruction of a passport or laissez passer. The form must be signed before the diplomatic / consular representative.
  • An application for a new passport, filled out and signed.
  • The Israeli passport is the property of the State. The loss / theft / destruction of the passport requires the payment of a higher fee.

For the B/2 Visitor's visa process to be handled at the mission:

  • Presentation of a travel document that is valid for at least six months beyond the period of the stay in Israel
  • A completed and signed application for a visa to enter Israel
  • A photocopy of the applicant's travel document
  • Proof of the applicant's sufficient financial means for the visit to Israel
  • Order for round trip airline tickets to and from Israel
  • Two passport pictures (5x5 cm)
  • Payment of the fee

However, Swedish citizens do not need visas to enter Israel.

Payment for Consular Service is done by cash or Bank-Giro 360-1630. When paying by Bank-Giro full name and passport number is a must. 

Security instructions for people who wish to obtain consular services at the mission offices:

  • Please bring a photo ID.
  • Every visitor and his belongings will be required to undergo a security check.
  • For security purposes, no personal objects will be allowed into the mission, including handbags, mobile phones and electronic devices.
  • Do not bring large handbags or suitcases to the mission.
  • Do not bring food and/or beverage bottles or containers.
  • The mission's security directives apply to people in the consular waiting room. The instructions of the security staff must be obeyed at all times.
