Japanese Embassy in Brazil strengthens the collaboration of Japanese-Brazilian communities.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issuance of passports;
• Issuance of various certificates (birth, death, marriage, divorce, criminal record, etc.);
• Citizenship matters;
• Issuance of visas;
• Registration of Japanese citizens abroad;
• Notarial matters;
• Assistance to Japanese citizens in cases of emergency.

In case of lost or stolen Japanese passport, holders of the lost/stolen passport should immediately report it to the local police.

Brazilians need visas to visit Japan. Necessary documents for a tourist visa:

• Valid passport;
• Printed visa application form;
• A recent photo (4,5 x 4,5 cm);
• A copy of a round-trip ticket;
• Certified copy of the identity card;
• Copy of the declaration of personal income tax;
• Documents proving the purpose of the trip;
• Travel schedule.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
