The Embassy provides consular services related to the following matters:

In case Japanese passport is lost or stolen while abroad, it should be immediately reported to the local police. A police notification about the loss/theft of the passport will be needed when applying for a new passport at the Embassy of Japan.
Romanian citizens who are holders of valid passports issued by Romanian authorities, who wish to enter the territory of Japan with the intention of staying for a period not exceeding 90 consecutive days, may enter the Japanese territory without needing a visa.
Payments for consular services are accepted only in RON cash.
The Embassy is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays.
