The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Issues, extends passports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Issues,extends visas to the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Issues certificates (marriage, divorce, birth, maternity, adoption, death);
• Registers citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan arriving for permanent residence abroad;
• Accepts applications for the admission to citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan and restores citizenship of the Republic of Kazakhstan;
• Legalizes/issues documents of legal significance;
• Notary services.

Under the new procedure of issuing visas of the Republic of Kazakhstan, from February 15, 2004, single entry business, tourist and private (up to one month) visas will be issued to citizens of 46 countries, without an official invitation arranged through Kazakhstan authorities (Ministry of Foreign Affairs/ Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan), on the basis of their personal or companies' written statements submitted to the Consular Section of the Embassy of Kazakhstan. The citizens of the Republic of Lithuania DO NOT require an official invitation for a single business visa, tourist visas, single private visa (up to 30 day of validity). Visa issuance procedures take 5 working days.

Consular fees are payable only in Euro. Paid consular fees are non-refundable.

In case of lost or stolen passport, citizens must immediately report loss/theft to the nearest police station and ask for statement confirming the loss/theft which must be presented to the Kazakhstan Embassy in the area.
