Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Consular registry of Latvian citizens abroad;
• Assistance to Latvian citizens in cases of emergency;
• Civil status matters;
• Issuance of visas;
• Consular protection of Latvian citizens, their rights and legitimate interests abroad.

In case of loss, theft or damage to the Latvian passport while abroad, Latvian citizens should go to Latvian diplomatic representation in the area to obtain a temporary travel document to return to Latvia.

Citizens of France do not need visas to visit Latvia for stays of up to 90 days in any 180-day period.

The Embassy is closed on Latvian Public Holidays.
