Consular section of the Embassy provides these consular services:
- Assists Lithuanian citizens in case of emergencies;
- Register Lithuanian citizens abroad;
- Issues passports;
- Deals with Lithuanian citizenship matters;
- Issues civil status certificates;
- Legalizes documents;
- Provides notarial services;
- Issues visas;
- Issues emergency documents to Lithuanian citizens to return to Lithuania.
In case Lithuanian passport is lost or stolen while in Norway, citizens must immediately report it to the nearest police station and obtain a police notification.
A visa-free entry to Lithuania is granted to citizens of 78 states; however, arrivals from some of them must be holders of diplomatic, service, special or biometric passports. Citizens of other states should apply to Lithuanian diplomatic missions or consular offices for a Schengen or national visa.
Tourist visa to enter Lithuania is not required for citizens of Norway for a stay up to 90 days.
The Embassy is closed on weekends and public holidays.
