Consular Section of the Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Issues visas;
  • Issues simplified transit documents;
  • Issues residence permits;
  • Deals with citizenship matters;
  • Issues passports and IDs;
  • Deals with civil registration matters;
  • Issues return travel documents;
  • Provides notarial services;
  • Registers Lithuanians living abroad.

In case of lost, stolen or expired Lithuanian passport, Lithuanian Embassy can issue a temporary travel document to return to Lithuania.

Only holders of Russian diplomatic passports can enter Lithuania without a visa. Other Russian passport holders must apply for a visa.

Visa requirements:

  • Valid passport;
  • Filled in application form;
  • One 35x45 mm size coloured photo;
  • Proof of legal stay in Russian Federation;
  • Health insurance valid in all Schengen countries;
  • Paid consular fee;
  • Documents specifying purpose of the travel, accommodation and sufficient amount of funds for the entire period of stay in Lithuania.

Russian citizen who wants to obtain simplified transit documents must provide the following:

  • Valid Russian international travel passport;
  • Filled in personal data form;
  • Russian internal passport and its copies;
  • One 35x45 mm coloured photo;
  • Documents proving the necessity of frequent travels;
  • Consular payment of 5 Euros.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
