The High Commission's mission is to safeguard and advance Malaysia's national interest by:

• Strengthening bilateral relations with Canada
• Promoting trade, investment and tourism with Canada
• Carrying out information activities to enhance Malaysia's image
• Providing efficient services to the High Commission's clients

The Consular Office of the Malaysian High Commission provides all the standard consular services, such as assistance to Malaysian citizens with travel documents, legal issues, and various emergencies. The Consular Office also offers information and assistance with visas and other travel to Malaysia related issues to the Canadian citizens.

All passport applicants must come in person to the high commission. Bring original documents and 2 copies of identity card & permanent resident card (front and back), birth certificate and passport pages 1, 2, 3 and 32. For Malaysians residing in Toronto and surrounding areas, applications can be submitted by mail together with documents which have been certified only by the honorary consul in Toronto. Please leave message at 416-364-6800 to book an appointment. Kindly submit 1 extra copy of the certified documents. Processing time is 10-12 weeks.

Visa Fee - vary depending on countries of origin and made payable to the High Commission of Malaysia by Money Order. No personal cheques accepted. The fee is non-refundable. For more information the applicants should call the High Commission of Malaysia in Ottawa.

All Malaysians residing in Canada are strongly advised to register with the Consulate General of Malaysia in Vancouver or the Embassy in Ottawa in view of the frequency of natural and man-made disasters worldwide. Information gathered during registration would facilitate expeditious consular assistance and easy access to communication with the next-of-kin in case of Emergency.
