The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Passport renewal;
• Birth/marriage certificate registration;
• Registration of Malaysians;
• Travel advice;
• Issuance of visas.

In the event of loss of personal documents and belongings, Malaysians are advised to report it at the nearest police station. This will facilitate any insurance claim and replacement of relevant documents. A copy of the police report should be attached when applying for emergency travel documents.

Citizens of Sweden do not require visas to visit Malaysia and can stay in Malaysia for up 3 months.

The Embassy is closed on Saturdays and Sundays and public holidays. Whenever a public holiday falls on Saturday or Sunday, the following working day will be a holiday, and should that be already a holiday, then the following day will be observed as a holiday.
