The Dutch Embassy in Wellington represents the Kingdom of the Netherlands in New Zealand and some regions in the Pacific. Here you can find more information on the Ambassador, and contact information of the Embassy and consulates.

The Embassy provides a wide variety of services that includes:

At the Netherlands Embassy in Wellington or one of the Netherlands Consulates a passport application form can be filled in to obtain a Netherlands travel document. If the passport will not be picked up in person, $15 will be charged for registered delivery.

Due to a specific and precise scanning procedure all different or deviating photos will be declined. At the Netherlands Embassy or Consulate the Consular Officer will determine whether a photo is correct or not.

Dutch nationals living abroad are not required to register themselves, though one may do so if they choose. The Dutch mission will not register a person if, for example, he/she contact them to renew the passport. If one has had their name removed from the Dutch Population Register, they are expected to register with the foreign municipality in which they live, if applicable.

Visa is not required for New Zealand passport holders staying for up to 90 days in Netherlands. They may travel to Netherlands with a New Zealand passport only, which must be valid at least 3 months after the intended final departure from Netherlands.
