The Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bangkok represents the Netherlands in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos.

The Embassy provides these consular services:

  • Issuance of Dutch passports, ID cards;
  • Dutch nationality matters;
  • Civil integration examination abroad;
  • Notarial acts;
  • Legalisation of documents;
  • Marriage, adoption, birth matters;

If Dutch passport is lost abroad, the nearest Dutch Embassy or Consulate can help obtain a new passport or temporary travel document (emergency passport or laissez passer). Although it is not required to report the loss of the passport to the local police, it is recommended to do so, with a view to a subsequent claim to the insurance company.

Nationals of Thailand must be in possession of a visa when entering the Netherlands.

Visa requirements:

  • Completed and signed Schengen visa application form.
  • A photo that meets Dutch requirements.
  • In the countries where the Visa Information System has been rolled out, applicant’s fingerprints will be taken when they submit their application. Specific categories of applicants, such as children under 12 years old, are exempted from this requirement.
  • Visa fee paid when submitting the application.
  • A service fee, if the application is submitted at the offices of an external service provider.

As a general rule, a decision will be taken on applicant’s application within 15 calendar days.
