Inform the Embassy or a consulate by telephone or email as soon as possible. If the applicant needs to travel urgently one can submit an application for an emergency travel document (on workdays).  The applicant’s personal data will have to be checked with the issuing authority if the passport or identity card that was lost or stolen was not issued by the Dutch embassy in London. This means that it will not always be possible to issue the emergency travel document on the day of the application.

Please note: Passports and identity cards that have been lost or stolen are registered to prevent fraud and misuse. The passport or identity card should therefore not be used if it is later recovered. Please send it to the Embassy, consulate, 'gemeente' or Dutch border control as soon as possible.

One can apply for a Schengen visa at VFS or at the nearest Netherlands Consulate. Please note that appointment systems are being operated. Processing time for visa applications is at least 14 days.
