New Zealand Embassy in Paris is accredited to France, Monaco, Portugal and Senegal.
Consular staff at the Embassy can:
- Issue these documents: certificate of consent to marry, nationality certificate, declaration of individual (or family) civil status, declaration of NZ register of citizens, certified true copy of New Zealand document, verification of New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs witnessed documents, verification of local MFA signature/seal on foreign documents for use in New Zealand
- give advice, with the aim of helping a person to help himself/herself
- help with a lost or stolen passport
- help a person contact relatives or friends to request emergency funds
- provide a list of English-speaking lawyers, and help a person contact family and friends, if he/she is detained or arrested
- help a person contact family and friends if he/she is ill or injured
- help with arrangements following a death overseas
- in certain circumstances, provide notarial services such as witnessing affidavits, statutory declarations and other documents for use under New Zealand law
- help during crises, such as civil unrest and natural disasters.
Loss or theft of New Zealand passport must be reported to local police. A copy of a police report or a reference number will be needed when applying for a new passport (depending on which country applicant is in, police reference numbers may be called different things - police report event numbers, crime reference numbers, etc.).

The New Zealand-France Working Holiday Scheme (WHS) gives young French citizens aged between 18 and 30 the ability to work for up to twelve months in New Zealand, or to spend their time holidaying and travelling around the country.
French applicants may also enroll in one or more courses of training or study of up to six months' duration.
An unlimited quantity of WHS visas is available for French applicants. WHS applications are made online.
Citizens of France (under visa waiver program) don't have to apply for a visa before travelling to New Zealand if they are visiting for 3 months or less. A visa must be applied for if the travel is for medical consultation or treatment.
