Aside from the issuance of Philippine passports and visas, the Consular Section provides the following Legal and Civil Registry services:

  • Registration of Filipinos in Spain (yellow card issuance);
  • Authentication of documents (notarials);
  • Reporting of Birth of a child born of Filipino parent/s in Spain;
  • Solemnization of marriage;
  • Reporting of marriage between two Filipinos, or between a Filipino and a foreigner if the marriage was contracted in Spain;
  • Reporting of death of a Filipino national in Spain;
  • Administering of the Oath of Allegiance under RA 9225 (dual citizenship);
  • Assisting Filipino nationals in distress.

In case of lost or damaged passport, Filipino nationals must provide the following documents:

  • Personal appearance of the applicant
  • Duly completed Passport Application form
  • Affidavit of Loss or Damage
  • Cash payment for passport replacement and notarization fees (refer to Consular Fees)
  • Written police report (denuncia)
  • Photocopy of lost passport
  • Original and photocopy of NSO issued birth certificate authenticated by the DFA
  • Other official identification documents (driver’s license, voter’s ID, seaman’s book, etc.) that prove the applicants identity.

Nationals from Spain, who are traveling to the Philippines for business and / or tourism purposes are allowed to enter the Philippines without visas for a stay not exceeding thirty (30) days, provided they hold valid tickets for their return journey to their port of origin or next port of destination and their passports are valid for a period of six (6) months beyond the contemplated period of stay.  However, immigration officers at ports of entry may exercise their discretion to admit holders of passports valid for at least sixty (60) days beyond the intended period of stay.

The Embassy is closed on weekends and Philippine and Spanish public holidays.
