If Polish citizen loses his/her passport, he/she is obliged to immediately notify the passport authority which issued the passport. If the passport is lost abroad, Polish Embassy or Consulate must be contacted. Polish Embassy or Consulate may issue a temporary travel document to return to Poland.

Holders of ordinary passports of Romania are not required to be in possession of a visa when entering Poland for less than 90 days.

Third-country nationals may enter Poland if they are in possession of a valid travel document and a visa (if required). When crossing the border third-country nationals are also obliged to justify the purpose and conditions of intended stay and prove that they have sufficient means of subsistence, both for the period of intended stay and for return to their country of origin or transit to a third state into which they are certain to be admitted, or are in a position to acquire such means lawfully.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
