The report can be made in person at a police station so that a report of the crime is available in writing.

Polish citizens should be registered at the Registry of a Polish municipality. Registration permits the exercise of all the rights and duties of a citizen depending on each individual situation. The Polish citizen is obliged to inform his/her municipality, as well as the Consulate, of all registry data changes such as marital status, citizenship, address, etc.

If foreign nationals intend to stay in the territory of Poland and/or any other Schengen states (during one or more visits) for a total of up to 90 days within a half-year period calculated from the date of first entry, or plan to pass through Schengen territory (by train, car or plane), they need to apply for a Schengen C-type visa.
