The Consular Affairs Department provides a number of services to Qatari nationals abroad through the diplomatic and consular missions, including:

• Issuing transit tickets for Qatari nationals who lose their passports abroad;
• Issuing transit tickets for the new born Qataris abroad;
• Issuing new passports for Qatari nationals whose passports have expired abroad as a result of long duration study, treatment or training courses;
• Facilitating the return of Qatari nationals into the country in cases of those who lost their passports in countries where there is no Qatari embassy;
• Issuing various authorizations for Qatari nationals to facilitate their affairs abroad and also in Qatar;
• Protecting and caring for the interests of Qatari nationals abroad;
• Standing by Qatari nationals who may have problems abroad and coordinate with accredited lawyers to plead for them, as required;
• Legalization of documents and papers;
• Issuing visas.

Requirements for a visa to enter Qatar:

• Passport valid for at least 6 months;
• One photograph;
• Completed application form;
• Visa fee.

Nationals of the Netherlands can apply for an entry visa upon arrival to Qatar or at the Embassy.

All consular fees will be accepted in Euro and in cash only.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
