The Embassy ensures the representation of Romania to the Republic of the Philippines, promotes and protects the interests of the sending state and provides consular protection to the Romanian citizens according to the standards of international law as well as those of the Romanian and Philippines legislation.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of visas;
  • Issuance of temporary travel documents;
  • Issuance of civil status certificates;
  • Notarial services;
  • Assistance in recovery/renunciation of Romanian citizenship;
  • Assistance in cases of emergency.

Citizens of Philippines must be in possession of a visa upon entry in Romanian territory. Documents required for a tourist visa are:

  • passport valid for at least three months beyond intended period of stay;
  • ID card copy;
  • two recent colour photos (3 cm x 4 cm), on a white background;
  • dully filled in visa application form;
  • letter of certification of employment;
  • proof of financial means in the amount of EUR 50/day for the entire period, but not less than EUR 500 or the equivalent in convertible currency;
  • medical insurance valid in Romania, covering one day longer beyond the intended period of stay (original and copy);
  • proof of accommodation, as a voucher of paid accommodation at a tourism unit.
  • booking of a two-way flight ticket to Romania.

Visa processing takes 7 to 14 days.

The visa processing fees are charged beforehand, in EUR, as well as in US Dollars or in the currency of the state of residence, as the case may be, based on the average exchange rate to the EUR. In countries with a free currency market, visa fees are usually charged in EUR or in US Dollars.
