Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:

  • Issuance of civil status documents;
  • Romanian citizenship matters;
  • Legalization of documents.

In case Romanian citizen loses or gets his/her documents, money or other belongings stolen abroad, he/she should immediately report it to the local police and obtain a police report.

Polish citizens do not need a visa to enter Romania. Citizens of states outside the EU/EEA areas need an entry visa into Romania.

It is advisable that short-stay visa applications be submitted at least 2 weeks prior to the planned day of travel. It is advisable that long-stay visa applications be submitted at least 45 days prior to the planned day of travel. The issue of visas when the applications are submitted within a very short time prior to the planned day of travel cannot be guaranteed.

Applications for any type of Romanian entry visas received from citizens originating from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Syrian Arab Republic and Republic of Cameroon must be accompanied by a medical certificate attesting that the applicant has received vaccination against viral poliomyelitis (also known as infantile paralysis).

All consular fees are payable only in cash (only Euro).
