Romanian Embassy in the Republic of Korea has been operating since the official establishment of the diplomatic relations in 1990. Embassy's role is to help boosting the development of exchanges between Romania and the Republic of Korea on politic, economic and cultural level, as well as to facilitate the direct contacts of local communities and the mutual understanding between our two peoples.

Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:

• Consular assistance to Romanian citizens in case of emergencies abroad;
• Issuance of passports;
• Notarial acts;
• Issuance of visas;
• Issuance of civil status documents;
• Romanian citizenship matters;
• Legalization of documents.

In case Romanian citizen loses or gets his/her documents, money or other belongings stolen abroad, he/she should immediately report it to the local police and obtain a police report.

Citizens of South Korea are exempted from the Romanian visa requirement.

The consular section is closed on Romanian national holidays.
