The Serbian Embassy in Bratislava is the formal communication link between the Serbian and the Slovakian governments. The Ambassador heads the Embassy and is the official representative to Slovakia of the Serbian Government. The Embassy fulfills the role of a Serbian public authority when it comes to consular and migration-related matters, which include issuance of passports and different kinds of certificates, visas for students, residence and work permits as well as assistance to Serbs in emergency situations.
In case one loses the passport on a trip abroad, he/she should immediately contact the police authorities of that country and ask to be issued a receipt to that effect. The applicant should then submit the receipt to the nearest diplomatic or consular mission of the Republic of Serbia which will issue a travel document for the return to Serbia, once the procedure to establish his/her identity and citizenship has been duly completed.
General entry requirements for Serbia:
- Valid passport/travel document;
- Valid visa in the passport, if a Serbian visa is required for passport holders of the respective country;
