Role of the Embassy of the Slovak Republic in Warsaw is to contribute to the promotion of Slovak – Polish relations and support Slovak citizens in need and distress.

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of passports;
  • Issuance of ID cards;
  • Issuance of civil status documents;
  • Issuance of visas;
  • Citizenship matters;
  • Authentication and legalization of documents;
  • Registration of Slovak nationals abroad;
  • Assistance to Slovak nationals in case of emergencies.

In the event of the loss or theft of money, a passport, or any other document, it is essential to report this fact to the local police and to insist upon a written confirmation that the loss or theft has been reported. Slovak diplomatic mission can issue a temporary travel document to Slovak citizen, who lost or had his travel documents stolen, to return to Slovakia.

Citizens of EU and some countries, e.g.: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Japan and the USA, can enter Slovakia visa-free for up to 90 days. Citizens of other countries should contact Slovak diplomatic office to find out if they need a visa to enter Slovakia.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
