Spanish Embassy in Vilnius provides these consular services:

  • Registers Spanish citizens living abroad;
  • Provides civil registry services (birth, death, marriage, guardianship, custody, bankruptcy);
  • Issues passports (in case of loss/theft, revocation, near expiry, impairment, lack of free pages), residence certificates;
  • Legalizes foreign public documents verifying the authenticity of signatures on them;
  • Allows Spanish nationals to participate in electoral events;
  • Issues visas;
  • Assists Spanish nationals in cases of emergencies.

If Spanish national loses his/her passport abroad, he/she can obtain an emergency document at the Spanish Embassy but only to return to Spain.

Entry into Spain for stays not exceeding ninety days per six-month period is subject to the conditions set forth in Regulation (EC) Nº 562/2006 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 15 March 2006. Citizens of EU Member States (including Lithuania), Switzerland, Norway, Iceland and Lichtenstein only require a national identity card or passport to enter Spain for not more than 90 days in a six month period. There are a number of countries whose citizens are required to have a valid current visa in order to enter Spain. Citizens of all other countries must be in possession of documents which justify the object and the conditions of their stay, and be in possession of sufficient economic resources for their maintenance throughout the period they are intending to remain in Spain. The documents they are required to present will vary according to the motive of the trip.

Visa processing may take from 15 to 30 calendar days (in some cases visa processing might be extended up to 60 calendar days).

The Embassy will be closed on Lithuanian and Spanish public holidays. The Embassy is also closed on weekends.
