Consular services provided by the Embassy:

• Issues emergency passports;
• Deals with Swedish citizenship matters;
• Allows Swedish citizens abroad to participate in electoral events;
• Assists Swedish citizens in case of emergencies.

The Embassy in Oslo does not accept applications for visa, residence and work permits since 31 December 2013. Within the Schengen area issuance of visa, residence and work permits is offered at the embassies in Athens, Berlin, Madrid, Paris and Rome.

Nationals of Norway do not require a visa to enter Sweden. Also, the Nordic countries have an agreement which states that Nordic citizens have a right to live in whichever Nordic country they choose.

The Embassy is closed on weekends and public holidays.
