Royal Thai Embassy in Brussels is accredited to Belgium and Luxembourg and is a mission of Thailand to the European Union. 

Consular services provided by the Embassy:

  • Issuance of passports;
  • Issuance of temporary passports;
  • Legalization of documents;
  • Issuance of visas;
  • Military service matters;
  • Voting while abroad.

In case of a lost/stolen passport in a foreign country, Thai nationals must file a lost passport report to the local authorities and bring a notification along with documents proving the applicant’s Thai nationality to the nearest Thai Embassy or Consulate General to apply for a new passport.

Citizens of Belgium and Luxembourg are required to submit the following documents to apply for a tourist visa:

  • 2 identity card size photos in color (3,5 x 4,5 cm), taken within the last 6 months
  • 1 copy of applicant’s Belgian/Luxembourg identity card (or resident card in Belgium/Luxembourg)
  • A passport that is still valid for at least 6 months
  • 1 copy of the reservation of the flight tickets in and out of Thailand (at least for the first entry for the METV)
  • 1 copy of a confirmed hotel reservation OR an invitation letter/mail from a person in Thailand with a full address and 1 copy of this person’s identity card + proof that this person lives in Thailand
  • Copy of 6-month bank statement with a minimum balance of 600 Euros (Single Entry Tourist Visa) or 6,000 Euros (for the Multiple Entry Tourist Visa)
  • 1 Visa application form filled in completely and signed
  • If unemployed - a proof of income (document from unemployment benefit, pension or copy of applicant’s latest bank statement, etc.)
  • Cash to pay for the visa fee

Visitors should bring Thai passport, house registration in Thailand and Thai identity card, with 2 photocopies each, every time they come to the Embassy. There is no photocopy service at the Embassy.   The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
