Consular services provided by the Embassy are the following:

  • Issuance of passports;
  • Registration of Ukrainian citizens abroad;
  • Legalization of documents;
  • Civil registry matters;
  • Issuance of requested documents;
  • International adoption matters;
  • Notarial services;
  • Issuance of visas;
  • Voting abroad;
  • Assistance to Ukrainian citizens in cases of emergency.

If Ukrainian passport is lost or stolen while abroad, it should be immediately reported to the local police. A police notification about the fact of loss/theft of the passport must be obtained and presented to the diplomatic mission of Ukraine when applying for a new passport.

At present, the Ukrainian legislation provides for both visa and visa-free entry procedure for Chinese citizens. Holders of Diplomatic and Service passports can enter Ukraine without visa up to 90 days. Holders of passports for public affairs and passports of citizens of the P.R.C. need to apply Ukrainian visa.
Holders of the Hong Kong S.A.R. P.R.C. passports can enter Ukraine without visa up to 14 days. 

Passport, invitation letter and application are required for entry into Ukraine. Visas should be obtained from the Consular Office of the Embassy of Ukraine in China (Beijing) or Consulate General in Shanghai.

An applicant must submit:

  • A valid passport or travel documents (at least three free page for a visa must be available) plus one photocopy of its first page;
  • One completed application form in block letters in English or Russian;
  • Two recent passport size pictures;
  • Original letter of invitation (no fax or e-mail copies) for all types of visas (plus one photo copy of the invitation);
  • Document proving the financial income per month (original only with the seal of organization in English or Russian).
  • Certificate of Medical insurance for traveling abroad.

Consular office of the Embassy of Ukraine in China offers 21 days visa processing and rush processing for 15 days.

The Consular fee should be paid on the Embassy’s bank account through Bank of China. The credit cards, postal or Internet transfer as well as cash are not accepted.
