Services provided by the Consular Section of the Embassy:
- Assistance to Chinese citizens abroad in cases of emergency;
- Issuance of visas;
- Power of attorney;
- Issuance of passports;
- Notarial services.
Malaysian citizens need visas to visit mainland China.
Tourist visa requirements:
- Original passport with at least six months of remaining validity and blank visa pages, and a photocopy of the passport's data page and the photo page if it is separate.
- One completed Visa Application Form with a recently-taken color passport photo (bare-head, full face) against a light background attached.
- Proof of legal stay or residence status (applicable to those not applying for the visa in their country of citizenship).
- Photocopy of previous Chinese passports or previous Chinese visas (applicable to foreign citizens who were Chinese citizens and have obtained foreign citizenship).
- Documents showing the itinerary including air ticket booking record (round trip) and proof of a hotel reservation, etc. or an invitation letter issued by a relevant entity or individual in China.
Malaysian passport holders visiting Macao are exempted from visa and the duration will be decided by the Public Security Police Force of Macao S.A.R.
Malaysian passport holders visiting Hong Kong for less than 90 days are exempted from visa application.
The Embassy is closed on local and Chinese public holidays.
