The Embassy works to promote and protect Irish interests in Cyprus whether it is working with the Irish community, promoting Irish economic interest or supporting the strong partnership between the two Governments.
The Embassy has a wide range of consular services that it provides for Irish citizens, including passports. The Embassy provides consular assistance to Irish citizens in emergencies.
Consular services provided:
- Consular assistance to Irish citizens;
- Visas;
- Citizenship;
- Authenticating documents;
- Marriage and civil partnership;
- Travel advice.
In case of lost or stolen passport, Irish citizens need a police report if they want to make a claim on their travel insurance. The Embassy will not provide Irish citizens with a new travel document without a police report.
Citizens of Cyprus do not need visas to visit Ireland.
Fees are charged for certain consular services such as issuing passports and visas, foreign birth registrations, authentication of documents and administering oaths. These fees are fixed by the Minister for Foreign Affairs and Trade by way of Statutory Instrument issued under Section 3 of the Diplomatic and Consular Officers (Provision of Services) Act, 1993.
The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
