The High Commission’s of Malaysia in Nigeria vision is to safeguard and advance Malaysia’s national interest as well as to contribute towards a just and equitable community of nations through proactive diplomacy.
The High Commission provides these consular services:
- Registration of Malaysians abroad;
- Birth/marriage certificate registration;
- Registration of death;
- Travel advice;
- Passport renewal;
- Issuance of visas;
- Notary services.
Citizens of Nigeria need to apply for visa to enter Malaysia. The Single Entry Visa (SEV) is only permitted for fourteen (14) days only.
All application for Social Visa must be made in person and attached with the following documents:
- Filled visa application form;
- Two (2) white/blue background UK-sized passport photographs;
- Original and coloured copy of International Passport data page;
- Original and coloured copy of approved Yellow Fever Certificate;
- Original signed invitation letter from Malaysia and/or original signed introduction letter from the applicant;
- Confirmed return air ticket with booking reference number;
- Proof of accommodation for the duration of stay (e.g. hotel reservation);
- Original and copy of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Certificate (for all first time traveller to countries outside West Africa);
- Original and copy of Stamped latest bank statement (last 3 months); with Bank reference letter.
- For dependant:
- - Coloured copy of dependant International Passport data page and valid visa page;
- - Original and copy of certificate of birth/ marriage.
The High Commission is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. When holiday falls on a weekend, i.e. Saturday or Sunday, the following day will be observed as a holiday and should that day be already a holiday, the day following that day will then be observed as a holiday.
