Embassy’s mission is to safeguard and advance Malaysia's National Interest in the State of Qatar through Pro-Active Diplomacy.

The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Registration of Malaysians abroad;
• Birth/marriage certificate registration;
• Registration of death;
• Travel advice;
• Passport renewal;
• Issuance of visas;
• Notary services.

Malaysian Passport Holder can get a visa-on-arrival upon entering Qatar. It is valid for 1 month and the fee is QR100.  

Qatari citizens do not require visa to enter Malaysia for any social visit not exceeding 90 days (e.g. tourism, visiting friends or relatives, attending meetings, seminars, conferences or business discussions, factory inspection, auditing company's account, signing agreements, surveying investment opportunities, setting up a company or factory, sitting for examinations, taking part in sports competition or on a goodwill mission for students).

The Embassy is closed on public holidays. If a holiday falls on weekend (Friday and Saturday), the next working day will be observed as a holiday.
