Malaysian Embassy’s objectives:

The Embassy provides these consular services:

• Registration of Malaysians abroad;
• Birth/marriage certificate registration;
• Registration of death;
• Travel advice;
• Passport renewal;
• Issuance of visas;
• Notary services.

Loss of passport abroad should be reported to the nearest Malaysian Representative Office for replacement of passport together with a police report.

Every person entering Malaysia must possess a valid Passport or internationally recognized Travel Document valid for travel to Malaysia.
 
The documents shall be valid, for more than six (6) months from the date of entry into Malaysia.

Foreign nationals who require a Visa to enter Malaysia must apply and obtain a Visa in advance at Malaysian Representative Office before entering the country. In the UAE, application could be submitted, in person or by a representative, through the Embassy of Malaysia, Abu Dhabi or the Consulate General of Malaysia, Dubai.

UAE nationals do not need visas to visit Malaysia for stays of up to 3 months.
