The British Embassies in Abu Dhabi and Dubai maintain and develop relations between the UK and United Arab Emirates. The British Embassies provides services to British nationals living in and visiting United Arab Emirates.

Consular services provided:

• Emergency help for British nationals;
• Passports and emergency travel documents;
• Tax, benefits, pensions and working abroad matters;
• Birth, death and marriage abroad;

British citizens abroad must report their lost or stolen passports, fill in form LS01 and post, fax or take it to the nearest British embassy, high commission or consulate.

UAE nationals can get an electronic visa waiver (EVW) instead of a visa. They must pay £15 for an EVW. An ENW lets them visit the UK for up to 6 months for tourism, business, study or medical treatment. They must apply between 3 months and 48 hours before they travel. To apply they need:

• Current passport
• An address in the UK where they will stay
• Detail of their journey, including departure and arrival dates and times

For all Consular services and Emergency Travel Document you can pay in cash. You can also pay consular and Emergency Travel Document fees by Credit Card. Please note that the Embassy only accepts some credit Cards (e.g. MasterCard and Visa), Debit cards and Electron Cards are accepted if payment is received in pound sterling. Please note that the Embassy does not issue any refunds.
An official receipt must be obtained for all payments made at the British Embassy.

The Embassy is closed on public holidays.
