A leading provider of foreign language instruction for adults and children, ABC Languages provides quality Japanese classes in the evening at our school in Midtown Manhattan. Taught by native Japanese speakers, our group classes are suitable for all levels - from basic beginner through to advanced. Private Japanese lessons are also available with the option of day, evening or weekend classes. Private tutoring can take place at our language school or our tutors can come to your Manhattan home or office.

Evening Japanese Classes for Adults:

•  Total Beginner Japanese Classes:
8 week course that meets once a week for 1.5 hours. Your textbook is included in your fees.

In these fun and interactive classes, you will learn basic vocabulary as well as gaining an introduction to the Katakana and Hiragana script, as well as some very basic Kanji (Chinese characters).

Over the 8 week course, you will build up your basic language skills and improve your conversational Japanese, including learning how to introduce yourself and basic biographical information.

•  Above Beginner Japanese Classes:
Classes meet once a week for 1.5 hours. 

We can evaluate your current level of Japanese and recommend a class that best suits your needs. To be eligible to attend a group class at Above Beginner or higher level, you must have either:

- Completed our Total Beginner class
- Know how to read & write Hiragana and Katakana, and have basic knowledge of sentence structure

Our Above Beginner classes will focus on developing your basic Japanese conversation skills and grammar. With a maximum of 9 students per class, we ensure that everyone has the opportunity to interact with their teacher and classmates and practice their new language skills.

Other Foreign Languages:
ABC Languages also provides group classes and private tutoring in Mandarin Chinese, Korean, Spanish, French, Italian, German, Portuguese, Arabic, Farsi, Russian, English as a Second Language (ESL) and many others.

Our popular school is conveniently located in Chelsea, Manhattan West Side at 146 West 29th Street (between 6th and 7th Avenues, near Penn Station, NoMad, Flatiron, Koreatown and Midtown).
