Study Abroad BA (Hons) Animation Production Programs:
Course duration: 1 term, 2 terms, or 3 terms.
This course looks at animation production in a broad and holistic way, providing a thoroughly intensive and team-based experience in which students develop comprehensive expertise in the whole production process. The art of making animated films requires a high level of practical skill, draughtsmanship, technical proficiency and a wealth of theoretical knowledge and understanding.

Course content:
This course introduces you to the basic disciplines and skills to get you animating, with the opportunity to investigate the relationship between theory and practice within Animation Production.

You will be introduced to the visual and technical language of animation from the beginning and explore key areas of animation and drawing that are central to animation filmmaking. This is achieved via a series of workshops, seminars and lectures.

The course allows you to develop your approach to communicative storylines, paying attention to the range of ways in which animation communicates its stories and meanings. It will build upon your knowledge and skills as you develop your confidence and vision. Portfolios are required from all prospective candidates who wish to do a Semester Study Abroad course at the Arts University.
