English Language Courses
General English:
These courses are available year-round for Elementary to Advanced levels, and focus on the skills of reading, writing, listening and speaking. On all our General English courses, the emphasis is on developing students’ productive and receptive skills and increasing their levels of accuracy and fluency. Our core textbooks are chosen for their range of challenging materials and integrated, communicative approach.
General English Semi-Intensive:
This course combines General English Standard with 6 hours a week specialist individual tuition in the afternoons. For these one-to-one classes the students are interviewed and asked to complete a detailed needs analysis form to help the Director of Studies and teacher identify their strengths, weaknesses and exact requirements. After this consultation process has been completed a detailed schedule is created which is specifically tailored to meet the student’s individual needs.
General English Intensive:
The General English Intensive course combines General English Standard with 12 hours a week specialist individual tuition in the afternoons. This programme is based on the same consultation framework described above and is designed to have a more intensive individual focus on specific areas of writing, speaking or pronunciation. It is also an option for those who need English for specific purposes - for example, business negotiations, presentations and meetings.
Intensive Plus:
The Intensive Plus Individual course consists of 25+ hours of one-to-one tuition in the mornings and afternoons. As with the General English courses, the Intensive Plus course focuses on developing a student’s speaking and listening skills as well as extending their knowledge and range of vocabulary and grammar structures. However, because of the individual nature of the course the classes can be tailored to meet their individual needs and objectives. The course is aimed at those who wish to learn and practice as much English as possible in a short time.
