Undergraduate & Graduate Hospitality Programs:

IMI Luzern MBA Degree Program:
This intensive tPhoto of Hospitality Management Degree Programs in Switzerlandhree-semester, hospitality-focused MBA offers four different study pathways. In addition to the ten core modules, you can choose to specialise in Swiss Hotel Management Operations, Luxury Brands and Services Management, Sustainable Hotel and Tourism Management or Social Media Marketing. If you are unable to commit to studying for three semesters, you have the option of completing the Postgraduate Certificate Programme (80 credits) and the Postgraduate Diploma Programme (140 credits). 

Master of Business Administration (MBA) in International Hotel Management:
Course Duration: 22-week intensive, residential course followed by a 22-week non-residential programme for the field consulting project or dissertation. There are 4 intakes per year: January, March, July and October. 
The IMI MBA is designed for students with qualifications and/or experience in hospitality management who wish to develop their skills and understanding of the industry in preparation for middle and senior management positions. The core focus is on strategic management, with subjects including enterprise development, strategic international marketing management, project appraisal and feasibility studies, business cultures in developing new markets.

Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours Courses - 7 pathways:
These courses are designed for those who have prior qualifications at Higher Diploma level. Validated by Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU), each 22-week programme is equivalent to the final year of university study. Each programme allows a measure of specialisation in Hospitality, Restaurant, Tourism, Event or European Culinary Management or in some cases, a combination of two fields of study.

Students, who successfully accomplish this programme, will receive two degrees - from IMI University Centre, Switzerland and from Manchester Metropolitan University, UK in:

All programmes share a common core of higher level management subjects with an emphasis on business development, including enterprise development, human resource management and corporate financial planning. Pathway specialisation is made through your choice of units: tourism and transport, tourism impacts, food and beverage facilities management, food costing, purchasing and merchandising and events operations. The programme also offers opportunities for learning a foreign language as well as higher management skills, for example negotiation and data analysis.

Postgraduate Diploma in International Hotel and Events Management:
Course Duration: 22 weeks. There are 4 intakes per year: January, March, July and October.
The core focus of this intensive program is operational and integrative management, with subjects including front office management, food and beverage operations, and the business development of hospitality organisations and events management. It aims to equip students who have limited or no experience of the hospitality industry with the practical and management skills necessary for entry level positions in hotel, events and related industries.

Core subjects include: Food and Beverage Services; Human Resource Management; Financial Management; Personal Development Planning. 

Certificate in International Hotel and Tourism Management  - 5 months:
Course Duration: 22 weeks
This course is designed for school leavers who wish to begin their academic and industry career in hospitality and tourism with a good grounding in operational management. It is equivalent to the first year of university. The objective of the course is to give students a sound professional education in the operational management of tourism and hospitality organizations, with a particular focus on food and beverage operations, global hospitality and tourism trends and accommodation systems.

Course Duration: 22 weeks

The objective of the course is to develop students' professional understanding of how tourism and hospitality organizations integrate business functions and focuses on specific departmental responsibilities (front office and food production) as well as cross-functional management skills (financial management, accounting, marketing and sales, and the uses of e-commerce). This course is designed for students who already have qualifications in and/ or experience of the fundamental operational aspects of hospitality and tourism management and seek to develop these skills to supervisory management level. The programme also offers opportunities for the learning of foreign languages (French or German) and core intermediate management skills.

IMI Higher Diplomas / Diploma Higher Education Awards in:
These courses are designed for students with an interest in rapidly achieving junior management positions and who already have relevant qualifications and / or experience. Each of these programmes are equivalent to the third year of university. They allow a measure of single or combined specialization in either international hotel management, tourism management or events management. The course options are as follows:

English Language Preparatory Courses For International Students:
To ensure our students can profit from our specialized industry courses, we offer 2 English preparation courses at different levels with different emphases.

- University English Preparatory Programme (UEPP) - Designed for students who need to improve their English to the entry standard before commencing their IMI programme. Offered at 4 levels.
- Pre-Sessional English Course (PSEC) - Designed for students who already meet the required standard of English for their chosen course but would like to refresh their language skills. Students on the PSEC courses join the last four weeks of an equivalent UEPP course. Offered at 3 levels.

Additional Language Courses:
All courses are taught through English. However, students may also learn an additional language (French, German or Spanish).
