Senior Accountant

Introduction to the Position

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join a growing finance team in Berlin on a 4-day per week basis
. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment for a company with approximately 200 employees and €150 million in revenue.

In this role, you will play a key part in managing accounting processes and contributing to system implementations, including DATEV and Odoo. You will work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting, streamline workflows, and support ongoing projects. This position is ideal for a proactive accountant who enjoys both hands-on accounting work and the opportunity to contribute to ERP system improvements.

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities using DATEV and Odoo
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes
• Assist with the implementation and optimization of ERP systems
• Collaborate with the finance team to improve processes and reporting efficiency
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Support ad-hoc financial projects as required

• Proven experience as a senior accountant, ideally with ERP implementation exposure
• Hands-on experience with DATEV and Odoo is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
• Experience with general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a flexible work schedule
• Strong communication skills in English;
  German language skills are advantageous
