Junior Formulation Chemist - EdenEve

Your role

We are looking for a motivated Junior Formulation Chemist to join Eden Eve and support our formulation and product development work on-site.

This is a hands-on, lab-based role, ideal for an early-career scientist who wants to actively contribute to the development of high-quality cosmetic products. You will work closely with senior team members and external partners and see your formulations progress from initial lab trials to finished market-ready products.

• Support the development and optimization of cosmetic formulations with a focus on natural ingredients.
• Perform hands-on laboratory work, including formulation trials, sample preparation, and basic testing.
• Assist in scaling formulations from lab batches to pilot production.
• Support stability testing, compatibility testing, and basic quality checks.
• Evaluate raw materials, actives, and functional ingredients.
• Maintain accurate documentation of experiments, formulations, and specifications to support Product Information Files (PIFs).
• Ensure laboratory work complies with GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) and internal safety standards.
• Help maintain laboratory equipment, materials, and overall lab organization.
• Collaborate with product development, regulatory teams, and external laboratories as needed.

• A degree (or near completion) in Cosmetic Science, Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Initial practical or academic experience in cosmetic or formulation laboratories.
• Basic understanding of cosmetic formulations, especially skincare products.
• Familiarity with GMP / GLP guidelines and common laboratory equipment (e.g. pH meters, viscometers, centrifuges).
• A structured, careful, and reliable working style.
• Passion for natural ingredients, green chemistry, and sustainable formulation approaches.
• Willingness to work full-time on-site in the laboratory.
• Fluency in English;
  German or additional languages are a plus.

• Internship or trainee experience in cosmetic formulation or R&D.
• Familiarity with natural or clean beauty standards.
• Basic knowledge of EU cosmetic regulations.
