Medical Science Liaison; MSL Rare Diseases

Overview

Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Germany - Rare Diseases – Amplity.

Location:

Germany with 50-70% travel. Permanent residence within the region assigned.

• Clinical Trial Support: serve as the primary interface between the client and clinical trial sites across all development programs; plan and set up clinical studies for the assigned region; ensure alignment with local CD/Clinical Operations/CRO teams for flawless execution.
• Scientific Expertise: develop deep scientific expertise in neurology, genetics and rare diseases; act as the regional subject matter expert and scientifically credible leader.
• Opinion Leader Engagement: cultivate and maintain relationships with opinion leaders, clinical investigators and study staff within the assigned region.
• Cross-Functional Support: provide scientific support to Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, Commercial and other cross-functional teams; support scientific congresses, advisory boards and speaker programs; share clinical insights with cross-functional teams.
• Compliance: operate in a highly ethical manner and comply with all laws, regulations and policies; complete mandatory training in assigned timelines and when new policies or SOPs are issued.

• Master’s or Diploma in Life Science (minimum)
• At least 2 years of experience as Medical Science Liaison or similar field-based function in medical affairs
• Relevant therapeutic area knowledge, ideally neurology, genetics or rare disease
• Experience with clinical trial design, conduct and evaluation
• Biotech experience is a plus
• Fluent in English and in the language of the local country
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to present medical/scientific information clearly
• Excellent relationship-building and networking skills
• Strong organizational skills and results-oriented mindset
• Ability to influence without authority and negotiate confidently
• Ability to work independently and in a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
• Permanent residence within the region; able to travel up to ~50-70% of time
