FinOps Engineer & Consultant

, we’re looking for passionate Fin Ops Engineers and Consultants who combine technical skills with the Fin Ops practice to help our clients establish sustainable Fin Ops governance and automate transparency and optimization activities for a scalable and efficient Fin Ops practice.

Fin Ops is the combination of Dev Ops and Finance. Together with our customers, we implement the Fin Ops Framework, starting with a central Fin Ops Team that drives engagement within the client’s organization. Working alongside stakeholders such as Dev Ops Teams, IT Controlling, and Product Owners
, we implement measures to reduce cloud costs and maximize cloud resource usage to enhance the business value of the cloud
, measuring success through various metrics.

• Actively support Fin Ops projects with your colleagues to make customers'
  cloud usage more efficient and sustainable.

• Develop technical solutions for common Fin Ops challenges (e.g.,
  tagging, cloud service policies
  ).

• Analyze clients'
  cloud environments to highlight optimization potential for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services.

• Automate Fin Ops processes to streamline cloud cost allocation, reporting, and optimization.

• Use your communication skills to interact with stakeholders from platform, product, and application teams.

• Develop Fin Ops blueprints and share knowledge with colleagues.

• Prepare and execute Fin Ops trainings, conference talks, and create blog posts.

• Push Fin Ops topic development within Reply and with the Fin Ops Foundation.

• Collaborate with us on new opportunities like Fin Ops for sustainability or Technology Business Management.

• Successfully completed university studies in (Business) IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or IT Management.

• Experience in agile teams and familiarity with agile project management frameworks (e.g.,
  Scrum, Kanban
  ).

• Strong customer orientation, communication skills, self-initiative, and conflict management abilities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills, with flexibility to meet client needs and enjoy challenges in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficiency with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP;
  certifications are a plus).

• Curiosity to shape the Cloud Fin Ops Journey of our customers; a drive to question existing architectures and propose efficiency improvements.

• Familiarity with container-based architecture (from a Fin Ops cost perspective
  ).

• Basic knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Intrinsic motivation to drive sustainable and efficient cloud solutions.

• Current residence in Germany
  , with eligibility to work within the country.

• Proficiency (min. B2) in English and German with a willingness to travel occasionally.
