What do we do? Chainflip is building the next generation of native cross-chain financial infrastructure, starting with seamless asset swapping and now expanding into cross-chain lending. We enable users to swap major crypto assets like BTC, ETH, and SOL across chains — without wrapped tokens — and have already processed over $5 billion in trades since launch. Chainflip runs its own blockchain and a network of validators that control vaults across multiple ecosystems, making the user experience smooth, secure, and fast.

The next big challenge is building a generalised cross-chain lending product, allowing users to borrow and lend native assets like BTC, ETH, or USDC directly, with no friction and no need to wrap, bridge, or manage multiple wallets.

We’re a team of 30, deeply experienced and passionate about solving hard UX problems in crypto, like hiding the complexity of multi-chain workflows, making interactions work seamlessly, and turning powerful infrastructure into intuitive, elegant interfaces. We are looking for a (Senior) Devops Engineer to join the team to take our infrastructure to the next level. We’re looking for someone who is ready to challenge our processes and design decisions and push the infrastructure forward as we get ready to scale up. We seek someone who is excited about trying new technologies and is obsessed with seamlessly integrating each component of our system so that our developers can ship code faster without compromising on security.

• Technical skills that we want to see include:
• ☸️ 5+ years of experience using Kubernetes
• 🌍 5+ years of experience using Terraform (or any IaC equivalent)
• 🪄 5+ Years experience with Configuration and Application Management using Ansible or any equivalent tool.
• ⏭️ Strong experience with managing CI pipelines (using Git Hub Actions, Gitlab CI etc)
• ☁️ 5+ years of experience using cloud services, preferably AWS (EC2, EKS, VPC, RDS) and Digital Ocean
• 🧑🤝🧑 Excellent communication skills, self-starter, willing to drive solutions to completion
• Some things you may have done in your career could include:
• 🧰 You have built custom developer tooling
• 🪜 You have designed and implemented safe, reliable release processes
• 💽 You have managed large distributed systems.
• 🔒 You have experience with inter-system secure communication using VPN.

We are a Berlin-based team with our own office space in the heart of Kreuzberg and also have several remote team members supporting our mission.
