About Verve Retail Media

Verve Retail Media operates one of Germany’s most advanced in-store retail media platforms, spanning 2,200+ stores and partnering with leading brands such as Unilever and Nestlé
, as well as major retailers including EDEKA and REWE
.

In just seven months, the team has scaled from 1 to 160 employees — a trajectory that reflects both the ambition and the opportunity ahead.

The Role

We are looking for a thoughtful and creative UX Designer to lead the user experience strategy and design for the Verve Retail Media Platform
. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex ad‑tech requirements and human‑centric design. You will be responsible for "thinking" through the user journey, solving intricate workflow problems, and "creating" tangible solutions by implementing high‑fidelity concepts in Figma.

You will play a critical role in defining how brands and retailers interact with our platform, turning complex data and campaign management tools into an intuitive, powerful, and seamless experience.

Key Responsibilities User Experience Strategy & "Thinking"
  • Deconstruct Complexity:
Translate complex business requirements and technical constraints into simple, intuitive user flows and interaction models.
  • User Research:
Collaborate with Product Managers to understand user needs, pain points, and behaviors through interviews, surveys, and data analysis.
  • Information Architecture:
Map out logical navigation paths, site structures, and user journeys that reduce friction for media buyers and retail partners.
  • Conceptualization:
Create sketches, user flow diagrams, and low‑fidelity wireframes to visualize ideas and communicate logic to stakeholders.
Design Implementation & "Creating"
  • Figma Mastery: Translate UX concepts into high‑fidelity, interactive prototypes and production‑ready designs using Figma
    .
  • Design System Management: Maintain and contribute to our internal design system in Figma, ensuring consistency across the platform (using Auto Layout, Variants, and Component libraries).
  • Prototyping: Build clickable prototypes in Figma to simulate workflows for usability testing and stakeholder reviews.
  • Developer Handoff: Clear, annotated design specs to the engineering team and provide guidance during the development phase to ensure pixel‑perfect implementation.
Testing & Iteration
  • Conduct usability testing sessions to validate designs before development.
  • Iterate on designs based on user feedback, analytics, and A/B test results.
Qualifications
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience as a UX Designer, Product Designer, or similar role, preferably in B2B SaaS, AdTech, or complex data‑driven environments
    .
  • Portfolio: A strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, from initial problem definition and user flows to the final high‑fidelity Figma implementation.
  • Tooling: Advanced proficiency in Figma is a strict requirement. You should be comfortable with complex components, prototyping, and collaborative workflows.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of Interaction Design (IxD), Information Architecture (IA), and Usability principles.
  • Communication: Ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for the user while balancing business goals.
  • Experience designing data visualizations and analytics dashboards.
  • Basic understanding of HTML/CSS (to understand technical feasibility).
